Installed on a 25 year old GT BMX,24” cruiser frame. Fit and finish is excellent. Been riding bike hard on the trails and brake cables are holding up after a couple months now. Very satisfied. Mikie Likie!!These were good replacements for my bikes cables but the inner housing would spiral in after cutting. I was using a good set of brake cable cutters but the housing was hard to work with.to resolve I ended up cutting the then using a finish nail to reopen the end. Finally used my bench grinder to clean it up. This was a bit of a tedious effort but the cables worked great after.While it worked I will probably look at a different brand next time.Very good quality wire and housing. 100% exact match with my original bicycle cables. Also, it gives you more length of cable and housing for your money compared to less from OEM cables. In my opinion, this is just as good quality as Shimano cables. I highly recommend them.Cut the cable with diamond dremel very easy and clean to route them in the cable cut with tin snips then gentle grind smooth (keep heat low for the shell is plastic). Unbelievably NICE! Bought 2 more, oops wanted red not blue, but too happy to care. Blue till 2 more days then use the red. Fast ship and received. They worked great and the bike actually shifts better now than it did with the original cables.good quality happy with purchaseThe ends don't fit onto the cable, and when i did manage to wedge one on it still just slid through the hole in the bike and doesn't keep the cable in place where its supposed to go so i put some tape around it and the brakes do work but its an eye sore so im going to have to spend more money and buy new ones again now because its no good and thers not enough of the cable housing for the cables, u get 4 cable wires 2 for gears and 2 for brakes and only get enough cable housing to do the brakes so need more of that as well . other than that i liked the colour i bought and that's itThese brake cables are adequate however these are not compatible with my gears as the ends are too big. There is also not enough cable housing for replacing both brakes and gears.The green housing does look good on the bike though.For those who mentioned the ends not fitting snuggly. That is because they need squeezing in place to stay. Which I have successfully done, and then again with the same one as I decided to change the brake callipers too after I had replaced the cables and the fittings required feeding through.This is a really high quality cable set BUT be aware that due to the diameter of the cable, it might not fit down the hole in your gear shifter. The cable is designed to be universal brake or gear cable. However, it would not fit down the hole in my right hand Shimano gear shifter. Had to replace the whole shifter.These brake cables are very good, cant understand the bad reviews, I usually use shimano but thought I would give these a try and glad I did.no fraying as long as you use decent cutters.The outer housing and cables are fine but not great and with the universal ends one for gear shifters and one for brakes, honestly I’d buy actual ones next time. Cables with soldered ends are much better than these as for whichever you need brake or gear you have to cut the other end off and it never stays perfect.
